What is hemp extract?

Hemp extract is extracted from the aerial parts of the hemp plant. Hemp extract is abundant in non-psychoactive cannabinoids.

What is a cannabinoid?

Cannabinoids occur naturally in the cannabis plant. A cannabinoid is an active compound in cannabis.

Is CBD the same as hemp extract?

CBD or cannabidiol is one of many naturally occurring cannabinoids found in hemp extract. CBD is a major component of hemp extract.

What is the difference between Full Spectrum and 100% THC Free?

Full Spectrum means that the hemp extract oil contains all of the cannabinoids naturally found in hemp, including a small amount of THC (0.3% or less, as legally allowed). In our 100% THC Free hemp extract oil, the CBD has been isolated and all THC has been removed.

Are hemp and marijuana the same thing?

No. While both are from Cannabis sativa plant species and both contain cannabinoids, hemp is from cannabis plants that have low levels of THC and high levels of CBD. Due to the low levels of THC, hemp does not have any psychoactive properties.

Will I get high if I use hemp extract?

No. Hemp extract contains very little to no THC, which is the psychoactive compound in marijuana that causes the “high”. Due to the low amounts of THC, hemp extract products will not cause you to feel “high”.

Is hemp extract additive? Can someone overdose on hemp extract?

There is no current indication that hemp extract is addictive or can cause someone to overdose.

Can someone fail a drug test if they use hemp extract products?

While we cannot guarantee the results of any drug test, hemp extract, by nature, contains very low THC levels and should not show up in a standard drug test. In general, work place drug tests measure for the psychoactive compound THC, not CBD. We also offer oils and gummies that are 100% THC FREE.

Is hemp extract legal?

Yes, it is legal under federal law. Our products are produced in a facility that is under a federally approved program, authorized under Section 7606 of the 2014 Farm Bill. Kentucky has established a program that allows for the production, manufacturing and shipping of hemp products across state lines. If you have any concern, we ask that you check the laws in the state where you reside.

Is hemp extract safe to give to children?

As we cannot advise on medical or health issues, it is important for you to check with your healthcare provider. It has been reported that many children have been given hemp extract without any negative effects.

Is hemp extract safe to give to pets?

We cannot advise on your pet’s medical or health issues, so it is important to check with your veterinarian. Many pets have been given hemp extract without any negative effects.

Do I need a prescription for hemp extract?

No, a prescription in not required to purchase hemp extract products.

What are hemp extract products used for?

While the FDA prohibits us from making health claims, people use hemp extract products as a natural remedy for a variety of medical conditions and overall wellness.

Will hemp extract cure my condition?

Due to the FDA guidelines, we are prohibited from making any claims of health benefits associated with hemp extract, especially for specific medical conditions. To make the best decision on your health and wellness, we encourage everyone to do their own research and/or consult with their healthcare professional.
